Comet S4 1999 LINEAR, July 24th, 2000, 2:20-2:40 UT, seeing 4.5, transparency 4.8.

Astro-Physics 7.1" f/9 EDT refractor on homemade Dobsonian-style mount. Magnification 101x-129x, field of view: 0.55 degrees.

Pseudo-nucleus appeared relatively bright and starlike. Front of coma was rounded and wrapped around pseudo-nucleus. Dust tail on left side of comet appeared feathered. Tail length between 1 to 1-1/4 degrees.
