Comet LINEAR C/2001 A2, July 16th, 2001Original drawing made using white pencil on black paper: Same drawing on a white background: Comet LINEAR C/2001 A2, July 16, 2001, 4:05-4:50 UT, seeing 5, transparency 5.5. Astro-Physics 7.1" f/9 EDT refractor on homemade Dobsonian-style mount. Magnification 65x, field of view: 0.76 degrees. Outer coma appeared large, with smaller brighter coma near the center, and a small pseudo-nucleus was visible. Relatively short and faint tail was visible as well. |
