Comet LINEAR C/2000 WM1, December 8th, 2001

Original drawing made using white pencil on black paper:

Same drawing on a white background:

Comet LINEAR C/2000 WM1, December 8, 2001, 1:20-1:30 UT, seeing 5, transparency 5.0.

Astro-Physics 7.1" f/9 EDT refractor on homemade Dobsonian-style mount. Magnification 101x, field of view: 0.35 degrees.

The pseudo-nucleus appeared starlike, and the inner coma appeared semi-circular in shape. Outer coma appeared more pronounced on one side. Tail was faint, but was able to trace it out to approximately 1.75 degrees using a low power, wide field eyepiece.
