October 2nd, 2005, 7:45 - 8:05 UT, seeing mostly fair, settling down from time to time to good seeing (4-5, with 10 being best), transparency 5.3. Central Meridian 225.00° degrees. Diameter: 17.97", phase: 0.9357%, magnitude: -1.7.

TMB 7" f/8 refractor on Astro-Physics 800 mount. Magnification 238x - 397x with Clave prism star diagonal. Filters used: Baader Moon & Skyglow.

The South Polar Cap (SPC) appeared small. Limb clouds were visible along the following limb (the following limb is on the right hand of the sketch, the preceding limb is on the left hand side, south is at the top and north is at the bottom).

Mare Cimmerium, Hesperia, and Mare Tyrrhenum extended from the upper left hand or preceding limb to the center of the globe. Both Mare Cimmerium and Mare Tyrrhenum showed some mottling. Syrtis Major was visible along the following limb.

In the northern portion of the globe Stymphalius Lacus and Propontis were visible, and the North Polar Hood clouds were prominent and had a light blue color.
