Comet Hyakutake March 27, 1996, 3:40 - 4:05 UT, seeing 6, transparency 5.5. Field of view: 2.75 degrees.
Astro-Physics 4.7" (120mm) f/8.5 (Star 12ED) on alt-az mount. Magnification 18x.
Coma very large and bluish-green in color. Pseudo-nucleus of comet was whitish-yellow in color. Gas and dust tail very prominent, with a feathery component to dust tail.
